City Police on October 7 claimed to have cracked a murder case by arresting a man who, fed up with his father's ailment, murdered him this May.

The deceased, a resident of Kuditre village of this district, was hospitalised at CPR hospital on May 17. Fed up with his illness, his son with the help of his paternal uncle, murdered him by towel on May 21. Later, they blamed the doctors for it. After post-mortem, doctors sent the visera of the body to forensic lab for further investigation and the report brought out the crime. Police also examined the CCTV footage of the hospital, which showed the crime being commissioned. The alleged accused are the son and his paternal uncle. The latter was absconding, police added.
