Better immunity only way to keep viruses at bay: Virologist
UNI Jun 29, 2018
Eminent virologist from city, Deepak Gadkari, on June 28 warned that as there are no permanent drugs to prevent the growth and proliferation of viruses, the only way to keep viruses at bay is by improving one’s immunity.

Addressing a public talk on Viruses, organised jointly by Marathi Vigyan Parishad, Muktangan Science Exploratory Centre and Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited here, he said, "Viruses cause rabies, rota and dengue, among other diseases. Multiple virus strains can emerge from a single virus that then spread every time a conducive medium for proliferation is available." The only way to deal with them was to improve the body’s resistance power towards these external agents, Dr Gadkari added.
