Work-family conflict and ideal cardiovascular health score in the ELSA-Brasil Baseline Assessment
Journal of the American Heart Association Oct 17, 2019
Rocco PTP, Bensenor IM, Griep RH, et al. - In the ELSA-Brasil (Brazilian Longitudinal Study of Adult Health) baseline study, researchers explored the connection between work-family conflict (WFC) and ideal cardiovascular health (CVH) scores. From 2008 to 2010, data of active workers (5,424 men and 5,967 women), aged 35 to 74 years, were analyzed. Using data from questionnaires and clinical and laboratory examinations from the ELSA-Brasil study baseline, ideal CVH scores were calculated based on the lifestyle and health metrics proposed by the American Heart Association. According to the findings, significant connections were observed between WFC and ideal CVH scores. According to sex, such associations were heterogeneous.
