Voice signal characteristics are independently associated with coronary artery disease
Mayo Clinic Proceedings Apr 20, 2018
Maor E, et al. - The proposition explored was that patient voice signal characteristics were related to the presence of coronary artery disease (CAD) in patients who were enrolled between January 1, 2015, and February 28, 2017. Multivariate binary logistic regression with adjustment for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) risk score determined 2 voice features that were independently linked with CAD. Data displayed a potential association between voice characteristics and CAD. Clinical implications were yielded for telemedicine when clinical health care was provided at a distance.
