Spina M, et al. - Researchers compared the stem revision vs internal fixation with plate in the treatment of Vancouver B2 periprosthetic femoral fractures. Experts conducted this retrospective review of 34 consecutive patients admitted from June 1998 to May 2017. In Vancouver B2 fractures, stem revision remained the treatment of choice, but internal fixation with plate, screws and cerclage can be a viable alternative option in selected cases. Whatever treatment was adopted, the quality of life worsened.
