Value of left ventricular global longitudinal strain in patients with diastolic dysfunction and preserved ejection fraction
Journal of Cardiac Failure Aug 28, 2017
Hernandez–Suarez D, et al. – The clinicians intended to determine the possible predictors of global longitudinal strain (GLS) in patients with left ventricular diastolic dysfunction (LVDD) and normal LV ejection fraction (LVEF). They disclosed the strong association between GLS and important surrogate measures of LV relaxation. However, more likewise studies were required to better clarify the potential of systolic strain parameters in the prognosis and symptomatic progression of LVDD patients with preserved LVEF.
