Thoracic impedance & pulmonary artery pressure monitoring in prevention of heart failure hospitalizations
Journal of Cardiac Failure Aug 29, 2017
Volodarskiy A, et al. – Correlation between thoracic impedance and pulmonary artery (PA) pressure and their ability to predict heart failure hospitalizations was investigated. Neither PA diastolic pressures nor thoracic impedance measurements underwent marked changes before heart failure hospitalization events in a small cohort of heart failure patients and, were not found to be correlated with each other. This might be confounded by the lack of the variation in PA diastolic pressures during the follow–up period.
