The Journal of Clinical Hypertension Sep 24, 2017
King CC, et al. - In a study population of young adults with incident hypertension, researchers assessed the link between ambulatory blood pressure encounter intervals (average number of provider visits with blood pressures over time) and hypertension control rates. Findings reported lower medication initiation in young adults with shorter encounter intervals, this supported the efficacy of lifestyle modifications. For improving hypertension control in this hard-to-reach population, it is crucial to implement sustainable interventions for timely young adult follow-up.
