Sleep mediates the association between PTSD symptoms and chronic pain in youth

The Journal of Pain Sep 30, 2017

Noel M, et al. - This study assessed sleep as a mediator of the link between post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSS) and pain in youth (aged 10-17 years) with chronic pain. The findings suggested the potential mechanistic role of sleep in explaining the co-occurrence of chronic pain and PTSS. Furthermore, it was indicated that sleep might be an important target in future interventions.
