Deininger S, et al. - Experts evaluated the differences in physical and optical properties of single-use devices vs standard reusable endoscopes for retrograde intrarenal surgery. Findings suggested the presence of significant differences in physical and optical properties of single-use or reusable flexible ureterorenoscopes with putative influence on surgical efficacy and complications. Furthermore, in order to avoid the renal damage consideration of utilization of ureteral access sheaths was suggested.
