The Journal of Clinical Hypertension Sep 27, 2018
Lefort M, et al. - Authors assessed factors associated with adherence of antihypertensive (anti-HTN) treatment, and evaluated whether they differ across sex. They observed higher adherence to anti-HTN treatment among women, and noted that adherence to this treatment decreased with the number of tablets prescribed. and differentially so across sex. They found that adherence to anti-HTN treatment was higher among women, decreased with the number of tablets prescribed, and differentially so across sex. In men, adherence decreased sharply when taking two or more anti-HTN tablets, whereas, in women, the decrease was only observed when taking three or more anti-HTN tablets.
