Safety of shorter length of hospital stay for patients undergoing minimalist transcatheter aortic valve replacement

Alkhalil A, et al. – This study investigated the feasibility and predictors of early discharge following minimalist transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). Findings demonstrated that short length of stay (sLOS) following minimalist TAVR approach in an experienced and high volume center was feasible and safe in appropriately selected patients. This strategy might attenuate medical costs and potentially offer clinical benefit of early re–habilitation for the elderly TAVR population.
