Blanc J, et al. - Authors assessed the safety and efficacy of repeated dexamethasone intravitreal implants (DEX implants) over 3 years in eyes with macular edema (ME) secondary to branch retinal vein occlusion (BRVO) or central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO). Over 3 years, for BRVO and CRVO-associated ME, DEX implants are an effective treatment. Even though there are frequent complications, it is a valid treatment. Nonetheless, seemingly functional efficacy decreases with time and repeated injections.
