Wang H, et al. - Authors detected risk factors of perioperative complications, which are closely related to preoperative status of the patients and surgical stress, in degenerative scoliosis (DS) patients. A significant extension of the hospital stay of DS patients could be led by the high morbidity of perioperative complications for posterior spinal fusion. Findings suggested its independent association with higher American Standards Association (ASA) grade and longer operation duration (OD).
