Li Y, et al. - Researchers probed the severity of pulmonary function impairment for arthrogryposis multiplex congenital (AMC) patients with concomitant scoliosis and determined the risk factors related to the impaired pulmonary function in these patients. Findings suggested that severe impairment of pulmonary function existed in AMC patients with concomitant scoliosis. Experts found that in these patients, the scoliotic curve, hypokyphosis, and body mass index (BMI) were independent risk factors related to the pulmonary dysfunction.
