Ma J, et al. - In view of the more common occurrence of psychotic symptoms during methamphetamine (MA) use, researchers examined the relationship between the duration of MA use and risk of psychotic symptoms. They noted a dose-response effect between MA use length and risk of psychotic symptoms. Thereby suggesting a higher risk of experiencing psychotic symptoms with longer periods of MA use. Early prevention of MA use might help reduce the risk of psychosis in MA users.
