Relationship between metamorphopsia and macular parameters before and after idiopathic macular hole surgery
Ophthalmic Surgery, Lasers and Imaging Aug 24, 2018
Liang X, et al. - In patients after idiopathic macular hole (MH) surgery, authors gauged the changes in the pattern of metamorphopsia and the relationship between metamorphopsia, visual acuity (VA), and macular parameters. After successful MH surgery, they noted a significant improvement in the metamorphopsia and VA. After MH surgery, valuable prognostic factor to metamorphopsia is mean minimal diameter of MH. A significant correlation of postoperative mean M-score with mean minimal diameter of MH was verified in multiple regression analysis.
