Christensen NL, et al. – This study investigated the associations between left atrial (LA) volume index (LAVi), left ventricular (LV) morphology and cardiac events in asymptomatic severe aortic stenosis (AS). In patients with severe asymptomatic AS, a relationship was obvious, between LA dilatation and LV remodeling. Furthermore, LA dilatation provided prognostic information in these subjects.
