Ziemanski JF, et al. - A cross-sectional trial was formulated for the purpose of evaluating the relationship between omega-3 (n-3) and omega-6 (n-6) fatty acids with dry eye disease (DED) and meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD) in postmenopausal women. Addition of n-3s and n-6s in diet did not point towards any association with DED. On the other hand, a high n-3 consumption and moderate n-6 consumption safeguarded against MGD in the study cohort.
