Quality of life after pelvic ring fractures: Long-term outcomes. A multicentre study
Injury Apr 15, 2019
Hermans E, et al. - Researchers examined patients with a pelvic ring fracture after high-energy trauma admitted at two level 1 trauma centres in the Netherlands, for the long-term (5-10 years) health-related quality of life (HRQOL) and ceiling effects. The Majeed Pelvic Score (MPS), EuroQol-5D (EQ-5D) and Short Musculoskeletal Function Assessment (SMFA) questionnaires were administered to the patients. Analysis revealed good HRQOL outcomes after 5-10 years in patients who suffer pelvic ring fractures generally. Different fracture types showed no significant differences.
