Protein overexpression and gene amplification of cellular mesenchymal-epithelial transition factor is associated with poor prognosis in micropapillary predominant subtype pulmonary adenocarcinoma

Human Pathology Nov 15, 2017

Zhang J, et al. - This study entails an analysis of cellular mesenchymal-epithelial transition factor (c-MET) protein overexpression and gene amplification in micropapillary predominant subtype pulmonary adenocarcinoma (MPPAC) samples. Furthermore, their association with the clinicopathological features of the patients were also investigated. c-MET was recognized as a crucial biomarker. In patients with MPPAC, it was noted that c-MET protein overexpression and gene amplification were highly associated with poor prognosis.
