Prognostic value of plasma von Willebrand factor levels in major adverse cardiovascular events: A systematic review and meta-analysis
BMC Cardiovascular Disorders Feb 17, 2020
Fan M, Wang X, Peng X, et al. - Researchers assessed the prognostic value of plasma von Willebrand factor (vWF) levels in coronary artery disease (CAD) patients with major adverse cardiovascular events (MACEs) through a systematic review and meta-analysis. In total, 15 studies were involved in this meta-analysis by the search in PubMed, Embase, and CNKI. An independent prognostic factor for MACE could be the plasma vWF level in CAD patients evaluated at 24 h and 48 h after admission. Nonetheless, several studies had incomplete information, and the results need to be validated by more studies with more detailed data and an adequate sample size.
