Wong TW, et al. - The safety of and reactions to prognosis communication in late-life disability were examined in this mixed methods study. The authors concluded that about half of the disabled older adults' self-estimates of prognosis were similar to calculated estimates. However, evidence of sadness or anxiety was rare. In most cases, clinicians might offer to discuss prognosis.
