Darabadi FK, et al. – This research was planned to identify main factors associated with post–traumatic thromboembolism (PE) within 72 h of admission after trauma among patients referred to the emergency ward. In the majority of traumatic patients requiring ICU admission, occurring early PE was predicted, particularly in older ones, patients with long bone fractures and those with a more severe injury.
