Predictors of prognosis in light-chain amyloidosis and chronological changes in cardiac morphology and function
The American Journal of Cardiology Sep 13, 2017
Amano M, et al. - This study investigated the predictors of prognosis in light-chain (AL) amyloidosis with cardiac involvement and assessed chronological changes in cardiac morphology and function. A poor prognosis was reported for patients with cardiac AL amyloidosis and diastolic wall strain (DWS) was found to show potential as a significant predictor of prognosis. Those with a poor prognosis exhibited narrowing of the left ventricular (LV) cavity and progressive diastolic dysfunction.
