Predictors of mortality in high-risk patients with QT prolongation in a community hospital
EP Europace Oct 07, 2017
Gibbs C, et al. - This study investigated mortality predictors in patients with corrected QT interval (QTc) ≥ 500 ms in a community hospital. Findings demonstrated an association of QTc ≥ 500 ms with high all-cause mortality, with increased mortality in males versus females. Moreover, for prediction of mortality in this patient population, a new QTc mortality score was created. As per data, only a minority of cases with prolonged QTc ≥ 500 ms were acknowledged in the medical records.
