Maguire T, et al. - This research was carried out to assess the predictive validity of the Dynamic Appraisal of Situational Aggression (DASA) assessment tool in male and female patients admitted to the acute units of a forensic mental health hospital. Additionally, the psychometric properties of the original DASA bands and novel risk bands were tested. According to findings, when the level of risk was elevated, via prompting violence-prevention, the adjusted DASA risk bands could assist nurses.
