Preclinical and clinical evaluation on the performance and safety of a novel energy‐based device for body shaping: A pilot study

Mezzana P, et al. - Researchers conducted this pilot study to evaluate the performance of the new device (850 nm diode laser) in the non-invasive fat layer reduction in the following areas: abdomen, flanks, internal legs, buttocks, trochanter, arms. The study involves 42 patients, all of whom are healthy adults of both genders with BMIs ranging from 25 to 30 kg/m 2, and is intended to remove fatty tissue deposits in the following areas: flanks, abdomen, internal legs, trochanter, buttocks, arms. There were no adverse events, and patients expressed satisfaction with the treatment's aesthetic results. The new device appears to be a valid and safe treatment for all patients, with a higher security profile and no side effects.
