Platelet lysate promotes re-epithelialization of persistent epithelial defects: A pilot study

Abu-Ameerh MA, et al. - Authors studied the use of autologous platelet lysate prepared in a standardized method for the healing of persistent corneal epithelial defects (PED). They did not note any adverse events due to the use of undiluted autologous platelet lysate. Findings suggested that for the treatment of PED, undiluted autologous platelet lysate, prepared according to a standardized methodology was safe and effective adjunct therapy.
