Podzimkova J, et al. - Between patients with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), plasma osteopontin (OPN) levels were compared. Researchers found an association of plasma OPN levels with overall heart failure severity rather than with specific cardiomyopathy subtype in patients suffering from DCM or HCM, respectively.
