Phacoemulsification with hydrodelineation and OVD-assisted hydrodissection in posterior polar cataract
BMC Ophthalmology Jul 13, 2018
Hua X, et al. - Researchers assessed the results and complications of phacoemulsification with hydrodelineation and ophthalmic viscosurgical device (OVD)-assisted hydrodissection for posterior polar cataract (PPC). In order to reduce the incidence of posterior capsule rupture (PCR) and achieve satisfactory postoperative outcomes, an effective technique in phacoemulsification could be OVD-assisted hydrodissection. During cataract surgery, no nucleus piece or lens materials dropped into the vitreous, and during follow-up, no obvious postoperative complications were found. Best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) improved in all patients 1 month postoperatively.
