                Hananta IPY, et al. - In this work, authors determined proportion of and determinants for persistence after treatment of Neisseria gonorrhoeae in the pharynx (pharyngeal Ng). They identified persistence of a small proportion of pharyngeal Ng despite appropriate treatment. Faster clearance could be achieved by combining ceftriaxone with other antibiotics. A test-of-cure (TOC) for pharyngeal Ng 7 days after treatment seemed too early.
