Meighani A, et al. - The researchers planned this study to evaluate the outcomes of fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) for recurrent Clostridium difficile infections (CDI) in patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) at their healthcare system. Among patients with well-controlled IBD who failed standard antimicrobial therapy, FMT gave a good alternative treatment option with high success rates for recurrent or refractory CDI.
