Outcomes are equivalent for two-column acetabular fractures either with or without posterior-wall fractures
Archives of Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery May 23, 2018
Min BW, et al. - Experts evaluated that how two-column acetabular fractures with or without posterior-wall fractures were best treated and how posterior-wall involvement could affect functional results. Findings suggested that functional outcomes were not compromised with a posterior-wall fracture in a two-column fracture when the treatment algorithm discussed in this study was followed. In terms of reduction accuracy, radiographic results, clinical results, or complication rates, authors did not note any differences. Anatomical reduction was performed in all hips in patients with internal fixation for the associated posterior-wall fracture.
