Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery Aug 16, 2018
Kaziz H, et al. - In isolated radial neck fractures, researchers reported the functional outcome of closed reduction and intramedullary stabilization. In adults, a viable technique was represented by the intramedullary pinning of radial neck fracture because of its safety and simplicity. They noted lower complication rates than those in other reports of open reduction–internal fixation (ORIF). Findings suggested the mean QuickDASH score to be 6.4 (range, 7-22), the complication rate to be 35%. A total of 7% of patients demonstrated malunion.
