Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest: Probability of bystander defibrillation relative to distance to nearest automated external defibrillator
Resuscitation Dec 08, 2017
Sondergaard KB, et al. - Researchers here searched for an association of route distance to the nearest accessible automated external defibrillator (AED) with probability of bystander defibrillation in public and residential locations. In the current work, it was noticed that the probability of bystander defibrillation reduced rapidly within the first 100 meters route distance from cardiac arrest to nearest accessible AED in public locations whereas, in residential areas, the probability of bystander defibrillation was low for all distances.
