Ocular manifestations of sarcoidosis in a South Florida population
Clinical Ophthalmology Nov 05, 2020
Laura D, Lee Y, Farhangi M, et al. - Researchers conducted this retrospective consecutive case series to explain the ocular manifestations of sarcoidosis in a South Florida population and identify risk factors for the presence of ocular disease. Medical charts of people with sarcoidosis seen in the University of Miami pulmonary department have been reviewed for ocular disease. Out of 108 people with sarcoidosis, 14 had ocular involvement. In a pulmonary sarcoidosis clinic in South Florida, ocular manifestations occurred in a minority of people. The most common ocular manifestation was uveitis. A risk factor for ocular involvement was neurosarcoidosis.
