Amelot A, et al. – The researchers performed this case–control study to try to help guide therapeutic decision in the treatment of burst fractures. They believed that in vertebral fractures, short–segment fixation associated with kyphoplasty (SFK) was as efficient as long–segment (LF) for bone consolidation and spine stabilization. Moreover, SFK patients could use fewer analgesics.
