Arthroscopy Mar 17, 2019
Lind M, et al. - Between 2010 and 2015, researchers analyzed the data to research over the subjective clinical outcomes and surgical morbidity of 2 different medial patellofemoral ligament reconstruction (MPFL-R) techniques viz, bone or soft-tissue fixation of the graft at the femoral condyle, utilizing distinctive femoral fixation principles. They observed 88 and 89, Kujala scores for bone and soft-tissue fixation groups, respectively, with no variation between groups. They did not notice any significant difference in knee injury osteoarthritis outcome or pain scores. They found 13% and 12% of patients with significant tenderness at the reconstruction site after bone and soft-tissue MPFL-R, respectively. They reported no patellar re-dislocations in either group.
