Oldhafer F, et al. - An ante situm technique allows luxation of the liver in front of the situs to perform tumor resection. The researcher presented their experience with modified ante situm resection relying only on total vascular occlusion. They realized that with acceptable morbidity and mortality, ante situm liver resection could be applied without cold perfusion nor veno-venous bypass. However, even for the experienced hepato-pancreato-biliary surgeon, this procedure remained challenging.
