Horikawa C, et al. - The relationship between meat intake and incidence of cardiovascular disease (CVD) was examined in Japanese patients with type 2 diabetes aged 40–70 years with HbA1c ≥ 6.5%. In Japanese patients with type 2 diabetes, an elevated incidence of coronary heart disease (CHD) was correlated with high meat intake.
