Magnetic resonance imaging susceptibility-weighted imaging lesion and contrast enhancement may represent infectious intracranial aneurysm in infective endocarditis
Cerebrovascular Diseases Sep 01, 2017
Cho SM, et al. – In this study, experts sought to explain the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) characteristics of the infectious intracranial aneurysm (IIA). They found that neuroimaging characteristics, like sulcal susceptibility weighted imaging (SWI) lesion with or without contrast enhancement, were associated with the presence of IIA in the individuals with infective endocarditis (IE) who underwent digital cerebral angiograms (DSA) and MRI.
