Longitudinal study of visual function in Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada Disease using full-field electroretinography
American Journal of Ophthalmology Apr 30, 2018
Yuan W, et al. - Authors probed the dynamic changes of full-field electroretinography (ffERG) and its relationship with structural changes in Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada (VKH) disease. Active uveitis was demonstrated in all of the patients included in this study and they were referred to the experts within 2 months after disease onset. Before treatment and 2, 6, 12 months after treatment with systemic corticosteroids and cyclosporine, dynamic changes of retinal function were evaluated. When compared to CDVA and the various imaging techniques to detect structural abnormalities in VKH, ffERG was a more sensitive method to detect the improvement of visual function in VKH following treatment.
