Long-term survival of the cemented Muller CDH stem: A minimum follow-up of 10 years
Archives of Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery Jul 28, 2018
Salentiny Y, et al. - Researchers evaluated the long-term survival, identified potential risk factors for aseptic loosening, and assessed radiological outcome of the cemented Müller congenital dyplasia of the hip (CDH) stems. Findings suggested the comparability of long-term survival of the cemented Müller CDH stem to other Müller-type straight stems and uncemented implants. Like the original Ti Müller straight stem, an increased risk for aseptic loosening was demonstrated by the Ti Müller CDH stem and therefore it should no longer be used.
