Long-term patient-reported functional outcome of polytraumatized patients with operatively treated pelvic fractures
Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma Feb 01, 2019
Bott A, et al. - In the Tertiary referral pelvic trauma center, Bristol, United Kingdom, using validated patient-reported outcome measures, researchers assessed the long-term functional consequence of subjects with operatively treated unstable pelvic fractures. They observed no significant relation between fracture classification and outcome score. Compared with age- and sex-matched scores for a UK population, they noticed statistically significant variations in 3 of the 8 domains of health ie, physical function, bodily pain, and vitality. They did not find any change in relation to age, injury pattern, genitourinary injury, or neurological injury.
