Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery and Research Jun 07, 2018
Chen ACY, et al. - Authors gauged the long-term outcomes of radial head replacement and evaluated the relationship between functional outcomes and periprosthetic radiolucency. They collected and analyzed the data on patient characteristics including age, gender, injury complexity, associated trauma, injury chronicity, and number of surgeries. Findings suggested that the clinical outcomes were sustained and encouraging. Nonetheless, experts did not note any correlation between the periprosthetic radiolucency and functional or pain scores, they warranted surgical optimization and meticulous survey.
