Long-term clinical outcome of persistent left bundle branch block after transfemoral aortic valve implantation
Catheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions Oct 12, 2018
Keßler M, et al. - Researchers assessed how long-term clinical outcomes are impacted by persistent left bundle-branch block (pLBBB) among 707 consecutive patients who had transfemoral aortic valve implantation (TAVI). Outcomes suggest that the choice of valve type and implantation depth influence the occurrence of pLBBB. Patients with pLBBB require significantly higher rates of permanent pacemaker implantations. Notably, regarding mortality and rehospitalization due to heart failure, no differences in the 2-year follow-up were evident.
