Long-term changes in anterior segment characteristics of eyes with different primary angle-closure mechanisms
American Journal of Ophthalmology Apr 18, 2018
Kwon J, et al. - Authors evaluated the long-term changes in the anterior segment (AS) of eyes with different angle closure mechanisms. In the 4 groups [pupillary block (PB), plateau iris configuration (PIC), thick peripheral iris roll (TPIR), and exaggerated lens vault (ELV)], AS parameters changed differently. They noted the effects of laser iridotomy (LI) on angle opening distance (AOD) to also differ among groups. Progressive changes in AS parameters in eyes with angle closure could be predicted with the identification of the angle closure mechanism.
