Left bundle branch pacing for symptomatic bradycardia: Implant success rate, safety, and pacing characteristics
Heart Rhythm Jun 20, 2019
Li Y, et al. - In this prospective study, researchers evaluated implant success rate and midterm safety among patients with bradycardia indications for pacing who underwent left bundle branch pacing (LBBP) by a trans-ventricular-septal method in the basal ventricular septum. Of 87 patients (sinus node dysfunction 68%; atrioventricular conduction disease 32%) undergoing pacemaker implantation, a successful LBBP implantation was achieved in 70 patients (80.5%); the rest of the patients received right ventricular septal pacing. According to the findings, QRS duration < 120 ms was seen in most cases as a result of LBBP. Also, LBBP can be performed successfully and safely in most cases.
