Fender EA, et al. - With an intent to gain insight into the outcomes and therapeutic interventions for isolated tricuspid regurgitation (TR), researchers undertook this investigation. As per researchers' proposal, prior to the onset of right ventricular dysfunction and end-organ damage, surgery is performed on the patients at low operative risk with symptomatic severe isolated TR and no reversible cause, whereas, novel percutaneous interventions may afford an alternative treatment for those at increased surgical risk, however, further exploration is required.
